In 2016, the stages were renamed the Polka Dot Parlour and the Soul Strat Saloon, in tribute to Buddy Guy's signature polka-dot shirt and homegrown blues-rock acts Soulmate and Blackstratblues, respectively.
The festival has also featured the nationwide Mahindra Blues Band Hunt since 2015, providing a platform for emerging talent.
Winners including Aayushi Karnik, Blu, Arinjoy Trio, Blue Temptation, and Quiet Storm have performed on the festival's garden stage over both days. While the last full edition was held in 2020, a one-day Mahindra Blues Special took place in March 2022.
The Mahindra Blues Festival is scheduled for February 10th and 11th, 2024, at Mehboob Studios, Mumbai.
Beyond the music, the Mahindra Blues Festival offers attendees New Orleans cuisine, cozy dens with viewing screens for relaxed enjoyment, and merchandise and record stalls for souvenirs.
